Owned by Karl and Julie Hillier - Karl aided by family and friends created the dam, constructed the winery building and processing infrastructure and sheds and built and fitted out the two chalets. Karl is also the mastermind of many inventions around the estate and manages overseas business. Co-owner and managing partner Julie drives the strategic planning, marketing and stakeholder engagement of HRE. She can often be seen enjoying the surrounds with her best horse buddy Bailey.

ABOUT HARRIS RIVER ESTATE
Harris River Estate is set in the beautiful Collie River Valley. Just a two hour drive from Perth & 45km from Bunbury in the Golden South West of Western Australia.
Set on approximately 350 acres of premium farmland, adjacent to national forest bushland and the Collie River, we have 25 hectares under vine producing between 5 to 10 tonnes of grape juice per hectare depending on the variety and endues.

We are a single vineyard producer growing six grape varieties including Chardonnay, Verdelho, Viognier, Cabernet, Merlot and Shiraz. We are acknowledged for our classic range of wine as well as our range of sweet and funky wines.
Water is sourced from our own made dam. All our wine is grown, made and bottled on site.

We have a 2 hectolitre beer brewing system established in 2015, with our award winning brewer returning in 2020. We have also recently installed a still and have a small range of botanical infused gins producing 200 litres of premium gin per batch.

Harris River Estate was purchased by the current when it was just cattle land with no vines, no dam and no winery buildings..

25 years later, Julie & Karl Hillier continue to manage and operate this beautiful little business, constantly adapting and expanding according to the current market, including craft beer, chalet accomodation and most recently a Gin distillery.
